McGinn’s Violins is the workshop of Caitlin McGinn, a cello maker located a couple miles outside Dunmanway, Cork. She is a professionally trained luthier and can make an instrument to fulfill your requirements by commission. She also repairs, restores and sets up instruments and is happy to provide advice on violin family instruments and their accessories.

For beginning musicians, having a properly set up instrument can make the difference between constant frustration to the point of giving up and a life long love of music. Smoothly moving tuning pegs, a comfortable fingerboard and neck shape, and many other factors often overlooked can make ease of playing and the sound of your instrument improve hugely.
